Pre-School Admissions Criteria
Calvert Nursery School welcomes students of all races, religions, and nationalities. Registration begins February
1st for current/returning members. Registration for new members begins March
1st. All new members considering enrolling in Calvert Nursery School are
encouraged to call the school to arrange an observation of a class in session to
gain an understanding of the importance of the parent's role in a co-op
preschool.
Registration requirements:
- The child must be toilet trained.
- The child must be 3 years of age by September 1st of the current school year to be considered for the 3 year old class.
- The child must be 4 years of age by September 1st of the current school year to be considered for the 4 year old class.
- All applications must be mailed with a $50.00 non-refundable
registration fee.
Our class sizes are
limited to 10 students for each Threes class and 12 students for each Fours
class. Placement in our classes is offered on a first come, first served basis.
The remainder of applications will be placed on a waiting list in the order in
which they are received. Notification of enrollment in our classes will occur
via
mail by the end of March.
In order to maintain enrollment, all children must meet the following criteria
prior to the start of school:
- The child must have on file with the school a MD State Health Inventory and Immunization Form.
- The child must have on file with the school a valid Emergency Notification Card.
- The child must have on file with the school a signed Parent Pledge form.
