Are you an early childhood educator who is seeking a part time job in an early childhood development center?

Calvert Nursery School is seeking a teacher’s aide for our four-year-old program, who is available 3 days a week, for 3 half day sessions. The hours are typically 8:45am to 1:15pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. As the only co-op in Calvert County, located in Prince Frederick, we are seeking an engaging individual, with knowledge of child development, who is excited about working closely with families, and our teachers in our early education program as you would also have a parent serve as a helper in every class session. We are a play based, early childhood program seeking an individual who is willing to support the classroom and foster a love for learning with our students.

Additional Details: We run on the Calvert County Schools Calander, for holidays, breaks and weather-related closures.

Requirements as per MSDE are:

Must be 18 years of age or older by September 1st, 2026.

Must be approved by Division of Early Childhood Licensing, which requires passing fingerprint-based background check (out of state clearances if applicable). Pass Dept of Human Resources/CPS background check for child/adult abuse & neglect. Medical evaluation, Current Photo ID/ Drivers License.

After hire must complete 6 hours of annual training within 90 days, and approved Aide orientation within 6 months of start date.

Commitment

Availability 8:45am-1:15pm Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.

The term of our contract is September - May, with chance of renew yearly.
